The Cure Salée is a major traditional festival in Niger that brings together nomadic communities—notably the Tuareg and the Fulani—around ancestral rites linked to transhumance, livestock, and pastoral life. Cultural and musical performances play a central role in this celebration, serving as the primary vehicle for transmitting values, stories, and cultural identities.

Thus, the cultural and musical performances at the 2026 Cure Salée are not merely entertainment; they are essential elements that foster social cohesion, cultural transmission, and local development.

The ceremony featured performances by artists from various regions as well as local artists. Songs, dances, guitars, music, and other traditional artistic forms enable communities to affirm their cultural identity.
