In support of this need, the\u00a0Global Campaign for Peace Education, in partnership with the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.i-i-p-e.org\">International Institute on Peace Education<\/a>\u00a0and the\u00a0<a hrf=\"http:\/\/www.utoledo.edu\/education\/peace\/\">Peace Education Initiative at The University of Toledo<\/a>\u00a0has developed\u00a0\u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/www.peace-ed-campaign.org\/study-peace-ed\/\">Where to Study Peace Education: A Global Directory<\/a>.\u201d <\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"https:\/\/english.cpnn-world.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/peaced.png\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-5395\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/english.cpnn-world.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/peaced-300x214.png\" alt=\"peaced\" width=\"300\" height=\"214\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-5395\" srcset=\"https:\/\/english.cpnn-world.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/peaced-300x214.png 300w, https:\/\/english.cpnn-world.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/peaced.png 313w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/center><\/p>\n<p>This online catalog provides an easy to search\u00a0inventory of formal and non-formal programs, courses, workshops and recurring conferences in peace education from around the world.<br \/>\nPeace studies programs are abundant in the US and abroad, however, few of these programs focus on educational theory or practice. Therefore, our directory is unique in its focus on programs, courses and trainings specific to research and the study of peace education, and the preparation of formal and non-formal educators to teach for peace. Current listings are oriented towards adult learners or educators, not programs offered directly to students in schools.<\/p>\n<p>Listings in the directory fall into\u00a0two broad categories:<\/p>\n<p>1) The study of education (systems, philosophy, pedagogy) and its role in building peace<br \/>\n\u20282) Teacher and learning facilitator training and preparation in peace education (theory, methodology, pedagogy)<\/p>\n<p>The Directory thus far includes programs, courses and trainings focused on the study of the philosophy of education, critical pedagogy, democratic education \/ citizenship education, emergency education, social justice education, restorative practices, conflict resolution education (and peer mediation), educational development studies, human rights education and learning, and education for gender equity \/ equality and women\u2019s empowerment.<\/p>\n<p>Visit &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.peace-ed-campaign.org\/study-peace-ed\/\">Where to study Peace Education: A Global Directory<\/a><\/p>\n<p>We need your help to grow the directory!<\/p>\n<p>We\u00a0know there are many more programs out there. If you are running a program, teaching a course, or are currently a student studying peace education, or have the necessary information about such a program, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.peace-ed-campaign.org\/directory\/\">please take a few moments to complete our online submission form<\/a>.
