The Together Alliance march was backed by about 500 groups including trade unions, antiracism campaigners and Muslim representative bodies.<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=R9i8Mps-WVs\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/english.cpnn-world.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/London.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"900\" height=\"617\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-39282\" srcset=\"https:\/\/english.cpnn-world.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/London.jpg 900w, https:\/\/english.cpnn-world.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/London-300x206.jpg 300w, https:\/\/english.cpnn-world.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/London-768x527.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px\" \/><br \/>\nVideo of the March<\/a><\/center><\/p>\n<p>Amnesty UK hailed the \u201chistoric demonstration\u201d, saying marchers were \u201ccalling for a different vision of society \u2013 one which places dignity, compassion and human rights at its heart\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The event was supported by a wide range of celebrities, including the actors Christopher Eccleston, David Harewood, Lenny Henry, Steve Coogan, Toby Jones, Lolly Adefope and Maxine Peake, the musicians Paloma Faith, Charlotte Church, Brian Eno and Beverley Knight, and the comedian James Acaster.<\/p>\n<p>Independent MP Jeremy Corbyn posted on X that the \u201cproblems we face are not caused by migrants or refugees\u201d, arguing they were rooted instead in \u201can economic system rigged in favour of corporations and billionaires\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>MP Zarah Sultana said on X, \u201cThere\u2019s one minority we should be angry at: the billionaires funding division while working class people can\u2019t make ends meet.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>(continued on right column)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"float: right; width: 46%;\">Questions related to this article:<\/div>\n<div style=\"float: right; width: 46%;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"float: right; width: 46%;\">\n<p align=\"justify\">\n<p><strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/english.cpnn-world.org\/?p=14298\">How can we be sure to get news about peace demonstrations?<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>(continued from left column)<\/p>\n<p>Green Party leader Zack Polanski, Dianne Abbott and Greater Manchester mayor Andy Burnham were also among the crowds.<\/p>\n<p>A separate march organised by the Palestine Solidarity Campaign, which assembled at Exhibition Road near Hyde Park, converged with the main demonstration during the afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>Eighteen people were arrested outside New Scotland Yard on Saturday after staging a protest in support of Palestine Action, the protest group which remains proscribed under the Terrorism Act despite a High Court ruling in February that the government\u2019s decision to ban it was unlawful.<\/p>\n<p><center> &#8211;  &#8211;  &#8211; <\/center><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Analysis of the march by the Stop the War Coalition (received at CPNN by email from them)<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Yesterday&#8217;s &#8216;Together Against the Far Right&#8217; march was a powerful reminder of what solidarity and collective action looks like.
