Millions of American across all 50 states on Saturday rallied against President\u00a0Donald Trump\u00a0and his authoritarian agenda during nationwide No Kings\u00a0protests.<\/p>\n

The flagship No Kings rally in Minneapolis, which organizers Indivisible\u00a0estimated\u00a0drew over 200,000 demonstrators, featured speeches from Minnesota Gov.\u00a0Tim Walz\u00a0and US Sen.\u00a0Bernie Sanders\u00a0(I-Vt.), Rep.\u00a0Ilhan Omar\u00a0(D-Minn.), and actress\u00a0Jane Fonda, as well as a special performance from rock icon Bruce Springsteen, who performed \u201cStreets of Minneapolis,\u201d a\u00a0song\u00a0he wrote in tribute of slain protesters Renee Good and Alex Pretti.<\/p>\n

Organizers called it \u201cthe largest single-day nationwide demonstrations in US history,\u201d with an estimate 8 million people coming out for events in communities and cities nationwide.<\/p>\n

From major cities to rural towns that have never seen mobilizations like this before, protesters made clear that in America, we don\u2019t do kings,\u201c the No Kings coalition said in a statement.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is what it looks like when a movement grows\u2014not just in size, but in reach, in courage, and in more people who see themselves as part of this movement,\u201d the organizers said. \u201cThe American people are fed up with this administration\u2019s power grabs, an illegal war that Congress and the public haven\u2019t approved, and the continued attempts to stifle our freedoms. We\u2019re not waiting for change; we\u2019re making it.\u201d<\/p>\n

The rally in Minneapolis was one of more than 3,300 No Kings events across the US and internationally, and aerial video footage showed massive crowds gathered for demonstrations in cities including\u00a0Washington, DC,\u00a0New York City, Boston,\u00a0Philadelphia, Chicago, and San Diego.<\/p>\n

In San Francisco, thousands of anti-Trump activists gathered on a local beach to form a human sign that read, \u201cTrump must go now! No ICE, no wars, no lies, no kings.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, No Kings rallies weren\u2019t just held in major US cities. In a\u00a0series\u00a0of\u00a0social media\u00a0posts, Indivisible co-founder Leah Greenberg collected photos and videos of No Kings events in communities including Arvada, Colorado, Madison, New Jersey, and St. Augustine, Florida, as well as international No Kings events held in London and Madrid.<\/p>\n

Attendance estimates for Saturday\u2019s No Kings protests were not available as of this writing. Polling analyst G. Elliott Morris\u00a0estimated\u00a0that the previous No Kings event, held in October, drew at least 5 million people nationwide, making it likely \u201cthe largest single-day political\u00a0protest\u00a0ever.\u201d<\/p>\n
