The international campaign has its roots in the feminist movement, and started at the Center for Women\u2019s Global Leadership, Rutgers University, USA, in 1991.<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"https:\/\/english.cpnn-world.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/Orange1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/english.cpnn-world.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/Orange1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"762\" height=\"484\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-18381\" srcset=\"https:\/\/english.cpnn-world.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/Orange1.jpg 762w, https:\/\/english.cpnn-world.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/Orange1-300x191.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 762px) 100vw, 762px\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n1. In Italy, the Montecitori Palace, which serves as the seat of Italian Chamber of Deputies glowed in orange light.<br \/>\n<\/center><\/p>\n<p>Kicking off on the International Day to end violence against women (25 November) and concluding on the International Day of Human Rights (10 December), the campaign shows violence against women is a human rights violation. This year, the UN marked the 16 Days of Activism by bringing together leaders, activists and communities around the world under the theme, \u201cOrange the World: Generation Equality Stands against Rape\u201d, calling for an end to rape and rape culture.
