UNESCO Special Envoy for science for peace,\u00a0Mr\u00a0Michel\u00a0Camdessus\u00a0(France) &#8211; Former Director General of the International Monetary Fund (IMF)\u00a0and Professor\u00a0Muhammad Yunus (Bangladesh),\u00a0founder of\u00a0Grameen\u00a0Bank &#8211; Nobel Peace Laureate (2006) and\u00a0Mr.\u00a0Forest Whitaker (United States of America),\u00a0founder of the Peace and Development Initiative.<\/p>\n<p>In 1989, in order to pay tribute to President F\u00e9lix Houphouet-Boigny\u2019s action for peace in the world, 120 countries sponsored\u00a0a resolution unanimously adopted by UNESCO&#8217;s Member States\u00a0to establish the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.unesco.org\/prizes\/felix-houphouet-boigny\">\u00a0F\u00e9lix Houphou\u00ebt-Boigny Prize &#8211;
